They say, love begins in a moment, grows over time, and lasts for eternity. Though, here’s the thing about love: It happens unexpectedly and you’re never prepared for it. However, the moment it hit you, you will notice it and you will understand that all the series of coincidences and decisions led you to this moment, maybe to the beginning of a great story and a greater love.
And this is where our story begins; it was on May 28th, 2011, the day where I was being invited to a launch party of a client of mine. When I came in, I turned my head to the side and saw this girl in her sweet pink dress laughing and fooling around with her friends. The moment our eyes met felt like if the earth stood still. One look, that’s all it took to slow down time and break all physical rules of space. The music, the people around and everything else in this room were suddenly in slow motion. The only beat was heard was the one of both hearts, giving us the sign that two halves have found each other. All these little things, when you added them all, you knew destiny was playing its game and bringing you together with your soul mate. It was like magic.
She was enchanted, interesting and the sweetest girl I’ve ever seen. Nothing compared to all the sun sets, rainbows or shooting stars that could take your breath away. The problem was, I was unable to make the first step and go talk to her. And then, I heard a “hello” from aside, turned around and saw her behind me. We started talking and I didn’t want this night to end. We forgot about exchanging numbers, because I had to leave early.
One month later, I took her on a date and we went to a high hill to watch the lunar eclipse. Here we got really close and had our first kiss. We started dating and a couple of weeks later she moved in to my place. We fell in love, despite our differences, and once we did, we understood the meaning of life. Every moment we spent together felt right and made us to fall deeper in love than the moment before.
3 years later, in Paris, I proposed to her at the Eiffel Tower and I knew I loved her not just for now, but for always and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.
