We met on October 5, 2012 in Oahu, Hawaii. I was about to leave Canada for good and decided to take a final trip to Hawaii. Kent, after years of hard work, decided it was time for some fun on a beach. We met as solo travelers at the hostel we both stayed at. We had an instant connection, yet it was not love at first sight. We stayed in touch after the trip to Hawaii ended. Kent booked two trips to visit me in Vancouver, where I lived at that time. We fell in love during the first visit. Love at second sight.For me it was clear from the beginning that I wanted to get married in my native Austria. Kent was right on board with the only request to be getting married at a castle. So the search started. I wanted my Canadian family to experience the true beauty of Austria. Schloss Ort had it all, a beautiful castle nestled in the middle of a lake surrounded by mountains.
